happy christmas!

well another transfer has just finished and we are starting a new one. im in the same area with the same comp.

well christmas was cool. kinda weird not getting presents, but that way its easier to remember the meaning of christmas, which is the birth of christ. :)

Luke 2: 8-14
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the aglory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you agood tidings of great bjoy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is aborn this day in the city of David a bSaviour, which is Christ the cLord.
12 And this shall be a asign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 aGlory to God in the highest, and on earth bpeace, good will toward men.

growing up ive never really thought about Christ on christmas, only really thought about presents and what not, and its a shame because we should really be remembering the Savior, Jesus Christ, who was born for us, and died for us. i hope that you all could make room for Jesus this Christmas and not let all the presents take up HIS glory.

wow mitchell is home! i love you bro. see you in 11 months.

love you all,

well another super fast week has passed by!

we are working hard and the next week should be better cause we have a lot of appointments with a lot of people we have contacted...

so on friday we had the ward christmas party and dinner and well it started super late and we had to leave at 9 but the food was pretty good... haha. and then on saturday we had a dinner for all the missionaries in this stake. the stake president does it every year for the missionaries in his stake and invites the president and his family. we ate some yummy food and then we hit some piñatas. i am sending my video. we had blind folds and ya its funny, haha.

theres a lot of work to do here in this area. and we need to find a lot of people. we are finding more and more and the its getting better and better everyweek, but it aint enough fo me!! but yesterday was sweet. a family that we are teaching recieved an answer. she was reading the beginning of the BofM and the testimonies of the 3 and 8 witnesses and then of Joseph Smith and she said she thought it was cool how the angel moroni came to Joseph in a vision to tell him about the BofM and that same night she dreamed that she was there present in the vision and saw everything... and we were like COOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!

well i gotta go to a meeting! have a wonderful christmas and ill talk to you before the new year! smooches.

dear brothers and sisters

well, i'm entering week 5 of this transfer and so far its been tough. but its not the areas fault, its ours. as the missionaries of this area we arent doing something right... we had another week kind of difficult. which includes not teaching a lot of lessons, only like 8 to investigators, only finding a few new people to teach, and not receiving any references from members... we are working really hard, but there is something that we arent doing. today i was laying in my bed, thinking and pondering of things we could do to be better and have more success. the thought of being more obedient came to my mind. i thought, but we arent disobedient missionaries.... and then i thought, ya, but we could definitely be even more obedient. i know we are working hard, but we need to push ourselves even more. i remember that when i was in my last area i got there with almost nothing and left with like 20 investigators progressing. and i was really obedient. and well these last 2 weeks of this change i know that it is what i need to do. obedience with exactness. i know the Lord provides the way, he wants me to obey.

did anyone hear about the earthquake here in mexico city? it was a 6.5 on the Richter! and no one even emailed me to ask if i was okay... wow what love... haha.

and ya we were in a lesson and all the sudden things started shaking and we were like, whoa whats that, and then my comp was like, earthquake! and i was like, oh snap lets bounce! then we all ran out of the building and it stopped. but afterwards i had a headache.. and i was kinda laughing because it was my first in my life and i was so tripped out. Mexico just shook.

the temple was cool in spanish... and i understood it all.

well i gotta go! love you lots fam and friends.

hola!

today for pday we went to the pyramids! it was pretty sweet. i took lots of pics for ya!

well little by little the area is getting better. we are contacting, knocking doors and testifying. its pretty cool. ;) but when we actually teach the lessons its a lot better. we saw a miracle this week. we looked in the area book, which is a big binder full of old investigators. and well one day last week we went to look for Ivonne and Luis. we found Ivonne and she was like, yes of course you can come over Elderes! and i was like, what the?! that was easy. we get there like a week later on thursday of this week at 7 on the dot and they were waiting for us with dinner! tortas and hot chocolate! i was like, you guys are AWESOME! but before we ate we walked in and we talked for a little and presented ourselves for like 7 mintues. then they were like, ya the missionaries just like stopped coming like 2 years ago. then luis was like, so, whats baptism? and my comp and i, with HUGE smiles on our faces, taught them baptism. and boom botta bing they will be baptized on the 7th of january! sweet ehh?

oh guess what...i won 900 pesos. i had a reimbersment for a tank of gas which is 220 pesos and the secretary was like, oh the peso went up and well it gave you lots of money. i really dont see how its possible, but he told me to take it.. we bought like fruit punch and lemonade and nutella..

on friday were going to the temple! its all gonna be in spanish... sweet ehh? and weve also got some christmas activities as a ward and then as a mision this month. i hope i receive packages... ;)

welp, the mish is passing by super fast and well im pretty sure im taking advantage of it, because i am working pretty hard. hey Friends is on the tv here in the internet cafe. im not watching but i heard the theme song and it was funny. oh ya yesterday we ate wings and salad and macoroni and cheese! it was awesome just cause i felt at home. we ate with a new young couple that are way cool and even speak inglish! and we listened to the new Michael Buble christmas cd which is awesome! especially Feliz Navidad. haha.

well i love you all.

21 de noviembre

well i have completed a year now...
thats super weird. it doesnt feel like it.

but well this week has been a little challenging. we are in a totally different area and the people are so different and not as receptive...i think because here they arent really as poor... but there is a lot of work to do... my new companion and i have to find a lot more people to teach. find to teach and teach to find. this will be a challenging transfer for us, but the only thing i can do is work, work, and umm....WORK! haha. and theres lots of it.
D&C 64:23

33 Wherefore, be not aweary in bwell-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of csmall things proceedeth that which is great.  34 Behold, the Lord arequireth the bheart and a cwilling mind; and the willing and dobedient shall eeat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.

the only thing i can do is not be weary and have my heart in the work and a willing mind and be obedient, but not only so i can eat the good fruit, but so the people i teach can eat of it also...

love you

well hello

another transfer has passed and im going to another area. man im kinda bummed. we got some sweet investigators here in Ixtla and im gonna miss them... 2 sundays ago we were able to baptize Mario, David, and Vanessa. but this sunday we could only confirm Mario because the other 2 couldnt come to church because the day before their Grandpa died. so no one in the fam came to church. but its all good. everything will be alright.

so im going back to Ermita. which was my second zone. so im leaving this area with 8 baptism dates! but i cant baptize any one of them! how sad huh? its all good. i wont get discouraged. they will still get all the same blessings and thats what matters. :)

well i have lots of sweet pics to send but his computer is super slow so i canceled them all cause i dont want to wait. sorry! youre just gonna have to wait even longer.

well im super happy with my mission. i love it. i almost have a year! thats crazy huh. i hope no one has forgotten about me.... oh but its all good, i got all my mexico friends now.

welp gotta go! love you all!

hola!
FELIZ CUMPLIAÑOS, MAMA! TE AMO. :)

well i have very little time to write today. but we had a very good week this past week. 3 baptisms and 10 investigaters in the church! chido, eh?

ummm....oh ya, regarding whoever sent me a package....i didnt get it. i got to the post office and i gave them my papers and they were like, oh sorry we sent your package home. and i was like, serious? when? then she tells me, yesterday. and then i was like....AAAHHHHHHH!!!! i came all this way for nothing! i was kinda mad. they said i got there too late so whoever sent it will get it back and then you will have to send it to me again. haha sorry! love you.

welp, idk what else to say. i am working super hard and i am glad i could be a missionary right now. i almost have 1 year! wow time flies... hope everyone up there is doing good and working hard and staying faithful in the gospel. TTFN (ta-ta for now).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

im super sorry but this letter will be super short.... dont have any time!

this week was pretty so so... we were gonna baptize mario yesterday but there was no water! and we even called for more water and it never came. it was sad tho because he has already waited 1 and a half months and now he can get baptized! but there was no water. we gotta do all that we can to put water in the font! he even brought his family!  but its cool, now they have to come to church again!

we should have 3 baptisms next sunday. i know that the number of baptisms i have on my mission isnt important, but its the only way people can be saved and become members of the true church. but the important thing is that they should endure to the end. thats a very important step in the gospel of jesus christ. im just here to help people come unto christ and if they can make covenants, i am doing good. im also here to mature and become a better member, sibling, husband, and dad. and to learn more about the savior jesus christ.

gotta go but i love you all

the weeks fly by so fast! we are already starting week 4 of 6 this change! crazy stuff... and we still havent baptized!!! but we will do it soon. mario got his letter! so we gotta go tell him whats up and we will probably do it sunday after church.

we were gonna baptize a girl named vanessa who is like 13 but we had to wait another week.. she lives with hermana minerva but the hermana isnt her legal guardian yet so the mom has to give vanessa permission and then the hermana minerva can sign the baptism papers because the person being baptized has to have 18 years...but its all good.

this week went really well actually... we taught a lot and found new people and put new baptism dates! we have a total of nine as of right now.. when i got here there were ZERO! oh but yesterday was so suave....we went to aleytia´s house and their entire fam was there! i think all that live there are like 5 or so... but the mom and the other daughter were busy and the kid was playing marbles and not paying attention... but we taught Aleytia for the third time and her dad for the first. but it was such a perfect lesson. the only problem was it was a little long, but it was so spiritual and they felt it strong and so did we, and well we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and long story short i believe that the family was ready to listen to us. we put a baptism date for the dad and Aleytia and well i love them. to finish me and my comp sang Venid a mi (Come Follow Me) i almost cried in the lesson. but the dad, Salvador; said the closing prayer and it was sooooooooooooooo powerful. we thought that he was gonna cry. and he was like thanks so much for sending these two young men to my door to help me come closer to thee. all i can say is...way sweet!

more news! we are getting cell phones! idk when but soon! sweet ehh? but dont call me or text me... its gonna make life SOOOOOOO much easier.

umm i bought some sweet shoes and 2 ties for like 40 bucks. the shoes are really crappy but they are only for meetings and sundays and what not.  but they are way cool. i gonna look fre$h los domingos.

well listen, the church is true and the book is blue.  -Ashley Clayton

i love you all and stay faithful and worthy. friends and fam that are reading this. be thou an example of the believers. choose the right. DONT DO DUMB THINGS!

well ill tell you this, we worked our nalgas off this week....

im still tired from it! or maybe its cause i also played some futbol today... quien sabe...

also had lots of sweet experiences. finding new people, puting baptism dates, testifying of the restored truth and well, shoot, im literally called by God to be here.

hmmm some experiences this week... we found a mom and a son named Ester and Angel and they love us. they made us breakfast the other day and invited friends to come over too. they like what we teach, but Ester and her hubby arent married so we gotta work on that... oh ya but the experience, Angel who is a little special and super funny said he had a dream that a giant virgin mary chased him down the stairs and told him that she wasnt real and that the Catholic church isnt true... Crazy huh?!

we contacted a door where a lady that we contacted a long time ago lives and we finally found her. well actually her dughter, Aleytia. and she is so cool and special and idk but we talked to her for the second time yesterday and we just like started to click (me, her and my comp) and introduced ourselves and talked about Christ and how he is so important in our lives and what not and well turns out she is sick. idk what its called but i guess its where she has problems using the bathroom and has to do something special....who knows. but ya shes 21 and after we talked to her at the door the first time and also the second time i said to my comp... hey, idk why, but i love this girl. there is something just super special about her and we need to baptize her. she is escogido (chosen) fo sho..

and well everyday theres great experiences, but i cant remember them all or i dont have time to write them....

but keep choosing the right! i love you all and so does Christ.

hola

que tranza mis carnales (what's happenin', my buddies?)

well this week was alright. it was a little sad to see that we didnt have as many successes. and no one came to church! oh jk actually a 13 yr old girl came. she is gonna live with a family from now on and well we taught her afterwards and well she wants to be baptized! sweet ehh? she is a niña magica! which means a little kid that wants to get baptized because he or she understands the importance easier i guess.. haha so ya, that is a blessing for us, but we still have a lot of work to do!

we still dont know about capt. hook (mario) because the primera presidencia (First Presidency) hasnt responded yet. he kinda started to get a little discouraged, but we were able to help him out. he reads the BofM a lot and loves it! he recently read in Alma about when Ammon cuts off the arms of a bunch of barbarians (idk if they were really barbarians, the word came to mind and i liked it.) and he says Ammon es de la banda, o sea (which is to say), in the gang.

a lot of stuff happens during the weeks, but like elder ferrin says, its hard to describe them and tell them to you, but they will always be here with me in my heart. the mission is great and WHOA, im gonna complete 11 months! thats crazy. miss me, mama?

i love you all.

dear loved ones,

well another transfer just ended at the speed of light! i cant belive it.. we were only able to baptize two in the last 6 weeks, not too bad but like im saying, we had more planned. oh well, i dont have changes and neither does my companion so that just means our goal for october baptisms will be even higher.

mario is still progressing great. he is the one who has to wait until the first presidency writes president chavez back and says he can be baptised... he also has a sweet hook for a hand. but hes so cool. hes a stud. came to conference and said it was cool!

the week was so-so good, as in like mas o menos good... we worked hard, but we have had better weeks. we hope to be able to baptize more this coming sunday so im excited for that. but i want more work! wow, did alex inglish just say that? i dont know why i like working so much now! i barely passed senior math without doing a single piece of homework! i was a bad example back then. haha. dalan ryan kylie julian alysa and all you little nephews and nieces, study hard in school! and go on missions. its the coolest thing youll ever do. :)

well conference was good! i actually got to listen in english this time! pretty sweet. and powerful. well i gotta go meet up with the others in my district. were going to the center of mexico city! its pretty chido (cool). well paz afuera (peace out) for now!

26 de septiembre

well this week was another really good week. a lot has happened the past 2 weeks... mario who has a hook for a hand was gonna be baptised, but we found out he killed someone... crazy ehh? he says he was drunk but it was self defense anyways. and he was already in jail and paid the fines and what not. and he still really wants to get baptized... but we had to change his date for like 1 or 2 of october. this week. he wants me to baptise him, i might be the only missionary to baptize someone with a hook for a hand! sweet.

but ya we also baptised 2 señoritas yesterday... pretty chido. there names are carmen and ana laura. weve been teaching them for like than a month but they were like super chosen... ana lauras dad lives in new york and just got baptized and he was like, hey go to this church, and then we found her and boom shes swimming in the agua! clean of sins...

and carmen, we found her in the market one day and we contacted her and she was like, no i dont really have time and i work a lot, but she sells table cloth things and no one ever buys table cloths! and well i think i just started teaching her anyways... and boom! baptism. <3 :)

we have seen so many blessing here in this area.. we got here with like nothing pretty much and now me and my comp have seen lots of miracles and success. we now have 15 progressing investigators, which isnt super good like i would like, but its still goood...

never stop believing and having faith. after the trial of faith and diligent work comes the miracles. and we have been working our nalgas off! en serio (seriously).

well thats all i got for now...

love you

12 de septiembre

well this week went by really well actually.

we taught a lot and put more baptism dates and the area is actually growing. i can see that its actually growing from our efforts here. its kinda cool to see that after coming to a dead area and an area that had a lot of problems before. we are starting to progress a lot again...

the members here are getting better. last sunday we started at like 8:30 and yesterday it was only like 8:20! so its getting better. haha. oh yeah, its supposed to start at 8...

so we got some sweet investigators. have i told you about the ex alcoholic named Mario? he has a hook for a hand. and he came to church yesterday and hes so cool! he also "killed a christian", which is a phrase which means you killed someone but it doesnt necessarily mean you killed a christian... but ya, Pres. Chavez will have to interview him... but hes way cool and reads and studies and wants to follow christ and keep going to church and be obedient, so hes ready! also got Ana Laura who is just like this 27 year old innocent woman who has a dad in NY who just got baptized and now she just wants to be baptized too! she was ready before we found her. then carmen who is like the same haha. her friend is a member and she just wants it soo bad! so were like, okay cool with us! and well thats just few of the many investigators we have progressing...

so my bday was pretty cool i guess. the first in the mish. got 2 ties and some cake from a fam and also cake from my district and a package from my wonderful mother full of ties and cookies and goodies! including a pink tie with roses. which i dont think i am ever going to wear.... sorry mom. <3

umm... my comp tripped and fell this week it was kinda funny.... he was embarrassed.

well i gotta go but keep reading and praying all of you! and follow the spirit.

5 de septiembre

wow.

what a great, sad, and super tiring week...

during the week was super good. well, most parts. we taught a bunch of lessons and found some really good peoople. but we had a goal of putting 5 new baptism dates this week and only put one.... but except for that, the rest of the week went super well. oh but minus sunday... ZERO investigators came. 0. i was super sad. 1. because they all promised they would come and 2. we even passed by the house of a family of 4 and they didnt wake up. it was fast sunday and so i bore my testimony of course, but as i was finishing i started to cry, but it wasnt cause of my testimony that i cried, it was because of this ward i am in. it has some serious problems. it makes me super sad. and its not the bishop, its the members. actually the bishop has been bishop for 12 years now. in this same ward. but its because no one else can actually be the bishop... i feel like there is something we have to do, but i dont know what it would be...

thanks for all who told me happy birthday. i love you all. <3

well some quick stuff that happened this week... the fam that just got here from the USA said that they dont have time to listen to us...well the dad said that, and it was super sad to hear it. my heart dropped. we went to our house and ate and i was like, compa we're gonna fast. so we did. we'll see what happens there.

i ate a kinda good/but mostly gross sandwich... i dont know why i even did it... i honestly should probably repent for it... it was a triple decker, pb and j and nutella. it sounded good in my mind... big mistake haha.

we contacted a girl who was like, wow, this morning i was crying a lot and i prayed and asked for a sign from god and now you guys are talking to me...thats crazy. i think i should i should probably listen...
sweet ehh...

a sister of an investigator told me that i have to take her to az when i come home and she says she wants to marry me. shes like 50.

one time we contacted a buddist. she was way cool but a little crazy and honestly didnt know what she believed...she said she didnt believe in god. a cockroach passed in front of me and i stepped on it and she was like, NO!!!
then i was like oh....woops....
then she says, you just killed a creation of god.
and i was like, i thought you didnt believe in god...
she was quiet for a while, but i felt bad for killing the cockroach.

well ya thats about it...
gotta go!

29 de agosto

hello

this week went pretty well... i feel like we didnt really have the chance to teach that much, but we set 2 new baptismal dates this week! for sept 11th. but neither of the people came to church yesterday....so if they wanna get baptized on the 11th they need to go to church the 4th and the 11th. i sure hope they do! otherwise ill be super sad...

so i wanna share a little something with you all i learned from Ephesians chapter 6. it talks about La Armadura de Dios (the armor of god). i had already known what it was, but i read the chapter and i liked it alot!
1. the loins of truth
2. breastplate of justice
3. feet with preparation of the gospel
4. shield of faith
5. helmet of salvation
6. sword of the spirit which is the word of god

all these things have a special meaning behind them. for example, shield of faith, you put the shield in front of you cause you have faith that you will be pretected from whats coming at you. or the sword of the spirit that is the word of god. as a sword can penetrate the body, the spirit or the word of god can penetrate the very soul. all of them have a different meaning and well i wont write all of them but i challenge all of you to read and study the chapter and then put on that armor of god.

in my new area there is a lot of work... we dont have a lot of people right now, but the ones we have are really good. la verdad (it's the truth). there is one lady, Sophia, that is kinda poor and i just wanna throw out the money i have on the table and say, here hermana, take this and help your family. but were not allowed to do that. but the truth is i kinda dont care because i dont wanna see her cry again...

then last night all the appts we had fell through and well i was kinda in a bad mood. so i was like, compa lets just go home. it was like 8:15 when i sat down at my desk and i was about to write a letter back to someone that wrote me.. and then it hit me. last sunday there was a lady and her 2 daughters that came to church. they actually speak english too beacuse they came from indiana. but they are mexican at heart. except they hate it here. so anyways, i sat at my desk and they just came to my mind, and at first i was like, ya whatever i dont really wanna go... then like 10 seconds later i just felt a really strong impression to go see them. so i was like, compa! lets go. i said, someone came to my mind lets go. so he was like okay.

it was 8:25 when we left the house and i had a feeling that we should get there before 8:30 for some reason. so we started super speed walking, almost running! we got there at 8:29 and i rang the door bell and she was like, who? i was like, the missionaries! then she was like, oh....uhhhh.....i was just about to get in the shower......but uhh....sure come in! i was like, yes! haha. so we got in sat down and it was the very first appt with her so we just got to know her and talked a little about her background and stuff and we talked a little about the restoration and gave her a BofM and the restoration pamphlet. and she is VERY interested. and the truth, i love them. they have 2 little girls too and they speak english and its super funny haha. idk why. it wasnt a super cool story, but still cool. cause i listened to the spirit. 1. we finally got to teach a little and get to know her. 2. i think if we would have gotten there after 8:30 she would have been in the shower already and we would have missed her.... so i think it was way cool.

more has happened this week too but the truth is i dont have time to write about it! sorry. but i love these people. we dont have very many, but i have so much love for them all... its crazy how much...

well i sat at the bad computer where i cant send pics so uhh sorry but no pics this week!

well not too much happened this week...

now im in paraiso, ixtla with elder luna. he is actually a really good missionary... i hope he doesnt have changes to leave this area the 23rd. i could learn a lot from him.

well this area....is ugly. all the houses are the color gray on the outside... and well i still dont know the area well. its one of the biggest in the mission and so if my comp leaves im gonna be opening this area pretty much. but my comp is really excited to have another good missionary like him too. ;) cause his last 2 companions have been pretty tough... and so hes been through a lot lately. he wants to stay here with me too. oh hes from sonora, mexico and hes a big guy haha.

so we contacted a lady the other day and she said that Elvis Presly was more famous than jesus christ... weird haha

also we contacted a guy with a hook for a hand. Mario. pretty sweet.

well thats about all i got for now, i dont have much time today.... nos vemos!

whoa. i'm in week five of this change! i'm about to complete 9 months....in 9 days... is that weird or what?! but time only will get even faster! crazy...

well this week was pretty good. the area still isnt as good as i would like it to be... but its slowly getting a little better. one of the coolest experiences that ive ever had happened this week though...

so we have this investigator named Brautrelet, or Brau for short. and he had a baptism date for the 6th... this past saturday. and well he "wasnt ready." jaja. so they all say. but this amazing man is golden. does everything we ask, goes to church, and he has already read 1st and 2nd Nefi! (bueno, Nephi.) and those type of people are rare. but this week in church, well, yesterday, it was fast and testimony meeting. and brau goes up to the stand with his friend Fanny who just got home from her mission like 8 weeks ago. she is always in the lessons with us and she helps him and all that good stuff... anyway, they go up and sit until its their turns to bear their testimonies and Brau goes up first. and at this moment my heart like dropped and i was like no manches (no way!).....then he goes on for like 5 minutes saying how he is super grateful for all the blessings he has received in his life and the espirit he always feels here and then he said how grateful he is for Elder Inglish and Elder Martinez and for the love we have for him is so strong and he feels it and is very grateful for the things we have been teaching him. then there was silence.....and he says....."and..........i know..................................................that these things are true."

then tears started roll down my face and i remember this marvelous work and a wonder that i am doing....

and Brau finishes by testifying of these things...

and well this was an experience that i dont think i will ever forget.  i am truly helping people come unto Christ. and i would only like to help MORE people...

oh on friday there was a guy with a quote on the back of his shirt. i doubt he knows what it said, because it was in english... but it hit me and i like it.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, its the only thing that ever has."
-Margaret Mead

but i have no idea who margaret mead is or to what she was even referring to... haha, pero me gustó mucho (i liked it a lot).

oh ya saturday night we were with the family cortes who are a part member family and all the sudden Hugo and his mom and dad come walking in with a fat ol´ cake and the mom was like, "vamos a tener una fiesta porque estamos bien y contentos gracias a Dios!" (we're going to have a party because we are well and happy, thanks to God!)

and i was like, oh gosh here we go again... ha. and we ate some cake and drank some atole.

well thats about all i got for now my beloved friends and family and other fans jajahahajaha just joshin.

love you all, paz afuera (peace out)

1 de agosto

well another super fast week has gone by! pretty crazy. and things just go by faster and faster every week, every month! mommy ill be home before you know it! broma, todavia falto un BUEN! (Kidding, I still have a ways to go!)

well things are getting better but still not how i would like them. theres only about 10 progressing investigators that are actually progressing....but on the other hand four have baptism dates... but one of them NEVER goes to church even when he tells us, YES, GOD COMES FIRST. and so were like oh okay see ya domingo (Sunday) and we sit there and the fam comes minus him...they say he has to work... but were going to their house later today and we´ll see whats up with him. he has the desire to be baptized, but not go to church... but its not something new... ha.

well the lord does work in amazing ways...the other day we were eating and the sister was like, ya im a convert and when i was investigating i never got an answer.... i told the missionaries that i had prayed and never got or felt anything... but one day they fasted for me. and that same day i had my answer that this was all true.. so at the moment i was like,

hey comp (companion)...

he tells me, que (what?)

i tell him, lets fast!

he says, sí

then i went in the bathroom and got on my knees and started my fast. and at that moment i knew what i was doing was going to help our investigators and also us.... so now we ended the week with 4 baptism dates and some new investigators as well. but the law of the fast is real. and you all should do it!

oh another cool/quick story... we stopped at a converts house that was baptized here in like january and he already has the melchizedek priesthood! usually you have to wait a year after your baptism... but ya anyways, he told us of dreams he used to have a long time ago before his conversion. his dreams were that he was in some building standing in front of a bunch of people dressed nice and he was breaking bread.... and other dreams he was passing that bread to people... and another dream he was cutting meat with a big knife.... i don't know what the last dream means... hahaha but the other 2 are pretty clear. and he told his wife who was already a member and she was like "oh my gosh..........how weird" hahahaha and she never even realized that that is what we do in the church! it was funny, but super cool. people are out there and ready...

just a little extra note.. my bday is coming up... NBD (no big deal). (september 4th)
and well i will be expecting gifts from all my loved ones and my fans... jkbr. ;)
btw...i love ties. and i hear air mail is the best...love you

we have some people that want to be baptized too, but they have some doubts still.. and we are praying for them and trying to clear their doubts.. so say your prayers too! porfies (please!)... well i think i gotta go. the hermana is getting kinda mad because there are 4 missionaries here in the internet cafe and only 6 computers.. so i could write more! but we gotta go..

18 de julio

dear fam and friends

hijole...

what a semana (week).

well, ive received my new companion. a brand new missionary. my hijo (son), elder martinez! except hes 25 years old.. so sometimes he doesnt quite seem like a new missionary. well rarely haha cause he is still learning and doesnt know what to do a lot of the time. but good thing he has a great trainer like elder inglish to show him the ropes. haha jk but i am trying to be a good instructor and help him out... he is learning. at least he already new a little about like the gospel when he got here so he actually helps with the teaching.. and does it well.

also we have to start working super freaking hard because 1, we only have 1 ward and lost a lot of investigators from the other ward when the new missionaries came here and 2, i have to show my new missionary how to work and how to do things.. theres a lot to do!

earlier in the week i was stressing out so much because i was helping the new missionaries elder ericksen and elder aguirre know their area a little and some people and investigators, and after there was nothing top do in my area and i just felt so stressed and tired and ugh i dont know how else to explain.. but i stopped thinking about myself and we went home and looked at the area book and looked at some old investigadores and stopped by with like 2 cause we ran out of time.. but were gonna keep doing that and contacting people... were gonna work hard. i really wanna make this area a lot better and i wanna help my new missionary get some baptisms under his belt.

well pday was kinda fun... we went to a big mall and we were gonna bowl but we didnt have time. but we just kinda walked around and the other missionaries bought some stuff... i just bought a rain coat/poncho thing...but its not like yellow and fat and flowy and ugly haha. its dark blue and more fitting.

oh ya i completed 8 months!

well i gotta go now

sorry, love you
